Tangent Delta Testing
Tangent Delta testing, also called Dissipation Factor (DF) testing, is a diagnostic method to determine the quality of the dielectric material of a capacitor. Up to now, exact DF measurements of medium and high voltage capacitors are requiring excessive test setups and can cause vast problems.

With our new Tan Delta measurement system, designed for test field environments, the dissipation factor and other characteristic values of capacitors can be measured very precisely under regular operating conditions, even when a high voltage stimulus signal is applied.
The exceptional stability of the test apparatus allows performing of long term measurements, if required with graphical result presentation and qualification.
The test system is controllable via Ethernet allowing fast, reliable and cost efficient embedding in an existing test environment.
